Woman raped and killed in Etwatwa
The tragic event occurred at a time when the country is observing 16 Days Of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children.

The community of Etwatwa has condemned the brutal rape and murder of a 52-year-old woman whose body was found with multiple injuries in a passageway at Citicon on November 17.
According to Etwatwa police spokesperson Constable Khensani Maluleka, the preliminary investigation of Sergeant Mfanafuthi Maluka, Sergeant Letticia Bukhali and Sergeant Brighton Shikaya managed to establish who the deceased was with the previous night.
“A 31-man-old man was traced and subsequently led the police to his home where the police allegedly found some of his clothes soaked in blood,” said Maluleka.
He was arrested and detained at the Etwatwa SAPS. He has since appeared in the Daveyton Magistrate’s Court.
The Etwatwa station commander, Colonel Molatelo Maoto, said, “We are saddened that the tragic event occurred at a time when the country is observing 16 Days Of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children.”
