Family mourns slain mom

"Our breadwinner has been taken away, she was the only person who had a stable job."

The family of Sibongile Mochadibana, who was allegedly killed by her partner of 13 years at their home in Crystal Park on January 30, wants justice to prevail.

The 39-year-old woman died after she was stabbed in the upper body after the couple reportedly had an  argument.

According to the police, the man then took her vehicle and withdrew money from her bank accounts.

A tracking company located the suspect and three other men, in a veld in Kliprivier, on that very same night.

One of the men, identified as a traditional healer, conducted a cleansing ceremony. The four were arrested.

Mochadibana’s mother, her 10-year-old son and her sister’s child were reportedly in the home at the time of the incident.

Speaking to Sibongile’s sister, Ntombizodwa Masemola said they have been left torn apart and inconsolable following the horrific ordeal.

“I still haven’t come to terms with my sister’s death, it’s like I’m still dreaming and I will wake up.

“Our breadwinner has been taken away, she was the only person who had a stable job as she worked at OR Tambo International Airport,” she said.

Describing her sister, Masemola said Sibongile was a bubbly person, who loved laughing, going to church and empowering herself through education.
