Suspect arrested for assault and domestic violence

EMPD members from the Bronberg Precinct arrested a 35-year-old suspect for assault GBH and domestic violence, in Daveyton, on March 27.

During a crime prevention operation they received intelligence regarding a docket that was opened by the victim at the Daveyton Police Station.

According to EMPD spokeperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, the suspect who had been on the run, was traced and cornered in Mahubane Street, Mashangane Section.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Daveyton Magistrate’s Court soon.
