Police engage with community members during street imbizo
The Deputy Provincial Commissioner, Major General Tommy Mthombeni and the Acting District Ekurhuleni Brigadier, Lebohang Machakela formed part of the team that visited Msholozi informal settlement.
Residents of Msholozi informal settlement, near Apex, had an opportunity to voice their grievances during a street imbizo organised by the police on June 15.
Led by the deputy provincial commissioner Major General Tommy Mthombeni and the acting district commissioner Brigadier Lebohang Machakela, the imbizo was aimed at strengthening community relations with the police.
Mthombeni encouraged residents to report criminal activities to the police anytime.
Benoni SAPS station commander Brigadier Thabo Mphuthi responded to questions relating to crime.
