Urban Shack fundraiser benefits Benoni SPCA

Funds were also donated towards the renovations for the society’s kennels.

Urban Shack Benoni recently donated food and blankets to Benoni SPCA, as well as money towards the renovation of kennels.

The donation comes after Urban Shack hosted a fundraiser for the SPCA on July 8 to raise awareness about the plight of abandoned animals and to see that they receive the proper care they deserve.

Teams of two athletes pushed their limits during a two-hour workout known as an AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) while promoting a cause close to their hearts.

Participants eagerly took part in a rigorous workout, featuring a range of challenging exercises, including Olympic lifts, burpees, plate pushes, and dog food carries.

The owner of Urban Shack Benoni, Thea Botha, said: “This event was a fantastic opportunity to combine our passion for fitness with our love for animals. We wanted to support the SPCA Benoni’s incredible work in rescuing and caring for animals, and what better way to do it than through an exhilarating workout that both challenges and unites us.”
