Primary school learners can win by showing their love for animals

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) Johannesburg has launched is 2023 Poster and Poetry Competition for primary school learners.
Entries close on October 31.
Categories and prizes:
• Category 1 Art: Grades one and two (first place R2 000)
• Category 2 Art: Grades three, four and five (first place R2 000)
• Category 3 Art: Grades six and seven (first place R2 000)
• Category 4 Poetry: Grades five, six and seven (merit prize)

You can also win a Roland STIKA from Telpro for your school and prizes from many other sponsors.
Get started by creating an amazing poster and/or poem that shows you care for animals.
Tell a story of kindness, gentleness and compassion towards animals and how we can make a positive impact in their lives.
Don’t forget to add a catchy slogan or title to amplify your message!
Posters: You can use any materials, such as paint or pencils on either A2, A3 or A4 paper. Not framed nor folded. Be as creative as possible, keep your poster bold, striking and original and have fun!
Poems: Your poem can be in any style and any of the 11 official languages, but make sure it’s not longer than 16 lines.
Remember, copyright laws do apply, so make sure it’s your own work.
You may enter a maximum of two posters and two poems.
