Fun activities bring together elderly at Deneys Conradie Residentia
During the fun-filled event attendees enjoyed games such as potato and spoon race.

Dressed in funky outfits, over 50 elderly people from Pauline Davis Court and Deneys Conradie Residentia were treated to entertainment and games during a spring wellness fun day recently held at Deneys Conradie Residentia.
The Luncheon Club Project, supported by Methodist Homes Fairleads Retirement Village and the Department of Social Development, hosted the event.
During the fun-filled event, attendees enjoyed a routine dance, a modelling show, a drama play, karaoke and games such as potato and spoon race. There were great prizes on offer for the participants.
Social workers from the City of Ekurhuleni, Irene Phago and her colleague, shared a motivational talk with the senior citizens.
According to the Luncheon Club Project coordinator Kelly Maphuma, the gathering aimed at bringing unity among the residents.
“The luncheon club for a group of senior citizens where the beneficiaries receive lunch, craft activities, exercises, and experience an overall wellness experience from Monday to Wednesday.

“The event was a success, and we are grateful for all the sponsorships and donations received to make the event a success,” said Maphuma.
