Local learners awarded at at Vivarté Eisteddfod

Entries for 2025 will open in January.

Students from all over the East Rand were recognised for their hard work at the recent ninth annual Vivarté Eisteddfod awards event at Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen.

This year’s Vivarté saw over 1 500 drama entries, 750 art entries and 300 song and dance entries. Participants, ranging from preschool to Grade 12, showcased their skills from May 5 to 18, followed by the online section in August.

Students from various schools, including Laerskool Concordia, Laerskool Rynfield, Leeuwenhof, Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen and Sunward Park High Performance School, to name a few, truly stole the show with their incredible talent.

Laerskool Rynfield received an esteemed Karen Zevenbergen trophy in acknowledgement for the school with the highest number of entries this year.

“Vivarté’s dedication to helping performers of all levels excel on stage is truly remarkable. They provide a comfortable platform for growth, ensuring that the love for performing arts flourishes and is displayed to the world,” said Vivarté manager Divene Swart.

Entries for 2025 will open in January. Make sure not to miss out next year.

As they approach their 10th year next year, exciting surprises are on the horizon to celebrate this wonderful milestone.
