Belvedere learners rally to support Benoni SPCA

The initiative also aimed to raise awareness in the community about the shelter’s ongoing needs.

In a heartwarming effort to support the Benoni SPCA, the learners of Belvedere, led by the RCL and DC members, spearheaded a donation drive to provide much-needed resources for the shelter.

This initiative has not only brought the school community together but also highlighted the ongoing needs of the SPCA in its mission to care for and protect vulnerable animals.

On May 30, Belvedere learners delivered all collected donations to the Benoni SPCA.

The drive has been an inspiring movement of generosity, showcasing the community’s willingness to contribute to the welfare of animals in need.

The goal of this initiative is not only to supply essential items to the SPCA but also to raise awareness within the Benoni community about the shelter’s ongoing needs.

The learners and organisers aim to encourage further contributions and long-term support from the public, ensuring the SPCA can continue providing critical services to animals in distress.

Chrizanne Maritz of Benoni SPCA said, “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of the community. Every donation helps improve the lives of the animals at the SPCA, and we hope this drive inspires others to get involved.”

A special thank you goes to All Risk Business, Farrarmere Pick n Pay, Ekspa, and A-Ha Pet Foods, whose generous contributions have significantly impacted the success of this drive. Their support reflects the true spirit of community involvement and kindness toward animals in need.

A-Ha Pet Foods donated 200kg of dog food.

The Belvedere Drive for the SPCA is a testament to the power of collective action, demonstrating that even small contributions can make a meaningful difference.

For those who wish to contribute, donations are always welcome at the Benoni SPCA.
