Border Collie is safe home

Thanks to good Samaritan

Keith Kinman writes by email:

Dear Good Samaritan from Morehill,

On Wednesday evening,July 3, our Border Collie managed to escape our garden and make his way from Airfield, all the way to Morehill.

We spent a frantic evening looking for him, roping in friends and family to assist us in criss-crossing the streets in Airfield and surrounds, but we had no idea that he had travelled so far in so short a space of time.

Your simple act of kindness, taking him in for the evening and dropping him off at the Oakfields Veterinary Clinic on Thursday morning, to enable them to scan him and contact us, meant more than you will ever know, and allowed us to get our boy back home.

To top off your kindness, you did not leave a name or number, so that we could contact you and express our thanks in an appropriate manner.

This letter is woefully inadequate, but the only way we can think of to let you know how grateful we are.

He is safely home, and after a trip to the vet, a hearty meal and a good night’s sleep in his own basket he is none the worse for wear.

Our thanks go out to you for your kindness and humbleness.

Had it not been for your actions, we could have had an outcome to this story that is unthinkable.
