On April 16 the power in the Bredell area went off at 11.55am after numerous calls to the Ekurhuleni municipality the power was only restored at 1.08am the next morning.
The fact that the power was out for 13 hours was not acceptable.
With the current economic situation in this country the loss of business for a small company like mine can be devastating.
It feels to me like our area always get’s neglected and I know of a few business in the area who were forced to cut staff members as a result of losing huge business deals.
When we and three others we know of reported it, they told us we were the first to report it on their system.
In other words, the person simply ignored the phone call.
Phone answering is also anywhere between 10-30 minutes which is ridiculous.
We and others in the area will be eventually be forced to cut off staff as a result of this if it does not get any better.
Service is horrible in Bredell especially when it comes to fixing roads on time.
My friend’s bakkie lost two tyres in one week because of this and he was forced to let his garden worker go.
He is now mowing his own lawn!
