Thanks to good Samaritan

Carol-Anne Wait writes by email:

On Wednesday, September 3, I found a kitten that had been abandoned by its mother in my garden; the little thing was only a few days old and its eyes were still closed.

I fed, cleaned and cared for the kitten for three days and then, unfortunately, it died on Saturday, September 6.

I was devastated.

I was travelling overseas the next day, for business, and went to the Atlasville Standard Bank ATM to draw money.

I was upset and my mind was still on my kitten I had lost.

I did not pay attention to what was happening around me and, to cut a long story short, I was robbed of my bank card and R1 000

I was in a bit of a state and a nice young gentleman named Ryan Nel, who works at the Alaska Spur next to the ATM, came to my assistance.

Ryan phoned Standard Bank for me and stayed at my side, wrote down phone numbers and reference numbers, I didn’t have my reading glasses with me and could not see.

It is rewarding to see that there are still good people out there who are prepared to go the extra mile and assist someone in need.

Thank you Ryan, you are a real gentleman; stay the nice person you are.
