It’s a concrete jungle out there

Tammy Landey writes by email:

I am a frequent user of the highways as I travel from Benoni to Edenvale daily

It’s not surprising that there are numerous accidents on the highway every day.

Some people have absolutely no regard for other road-users and choose to drive as they please.

It’s nothing new to see women putting on make-up while driving 120km/h in the fast lane, men shaving (I kid you not),

and the hundreds and thousands of people texting while driving.

I am no snail on the road, but I obey the road rules which are there for a reason. It’s these senseless mistakes that have deathly consequences.

Note to all the above: You are not only putting your own life in danger, but the rest of us, too.

I have a precious family that I would like to get home to every day and would appreciate it if you take other road-users into consideration, too.
