What a bunch of jokers

Peter Bachtis writes by email:

The mismanagement of a burst water pipe leaving a few suburbs without water for two days is extraordinary.

Burst water pipes happen, but what happens after the burst, s comical in the extreme.

Firstly it was announced that there would be water trucks, situated at strategic points to alleviate the water shortage …well there were none to be seen. Perhaps they were hijacked.

Secondly the call centre, which may as well be situated on Mars, is not answered by anyone.

Eventually, after a lengthy period, a Martian answered.

This particular Martian knew only one word, “Eish”, and mumbled something about the pipes being burst.

Please find out how long it will take to repair, and advise those who call in accordingly.

Patheticum, extraordinarium, malfunctionum, Ekurhulenium.

Or, in plain English: what a bunch of jokers.
