Keep saving tops

‘Anonymous’ writes:

Some time ago there was a cry for bottle tops and tags to be saved to assist in the repair and acquisition of wheelchairs.

Will you please tell me if we should keep saving these tops because nothing has been reported since that plea?

I have been saving them all this time, but when I go to drop them off at St Dunstan’s, there is never anyone there to take them nor is there any indication of the time of the day when the facility is open for us to drop them off.

Do you know of anywhere else where we can drop them off in the vicinity of Benoni Small Farms?

Thanks for a super newspaper, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Editor’s note:

Mandy Lachenicht, of St Dunstan’s College, writes:

“We do still have this amazing initiative.

“The offices are open from 7am until 3pm.

“Please bear in mind that we are a three-term school and that could explain why you could not find anyone to assist.

“I am, however, sure that these can be left with the guards on duty in such instances (they are most obliging).

“Should you have further queries, please do not hesitate to contact Joanne Smith from the college front office in this regard – she is the ‘champion’ of this cause.”
