I recently visited a local grocery store (I will not mention which one) and at the till, my mother asked the woman to withdraw R1 000. The woman was so rude, she rolled her eyes and failed to even respond to my mother who politely asked again, ‘can I take out R1 000 here?’
The woman then said in a stern tone, ‘I said yes!’
I said to my mother, well she should speak louder and the question will not be repeated, to which I received an unwelcoming look of despise.
While I understand that the teller’s day must have been difficult, dear lady, we all have hard days and we all want to go home so we can relax.
To those who work in the human resource field, please be considerate to the next person, life is hard enough without having someone add to the difficult day.
