The Valke remain winless in the Absa Currie Cup First Division, after they were hammered 50-25 by the Leopards, at Profert Olen Park, in Potchefstroom, on Friday, July 5.

Right wing Edmar Marais scored three tries within 20 minutes, as the hosts caused all sorts of trouble for the Valke, running in six tries to three on their way to a large victory.

The Valke are yet to register a win in the competition after two games, following an opening game draw (30-30) against the Griffons before losing to the Leopards.

The away team managed to regain some respect with two tries, from inside centre Willie Odendaal and replacement back Juan Kotze.

The team’s next game will be against the SWD Eagles, at the Barnard Stadium, Kempton Park, on Friday, at 3pm.
