Prestigious award for Ebotse Links
The Compleat Golfer Magazine hosted the 22nd edition of its annual awards dinner at the Johannesburg Country Club, recently, and celebrated the achievers of 2013 from the South African golfing industry.
Host Dale Hayes was in his usual fine form behind the microphone and was joined by golfing personalities Dave Usendorff, Sally Little and comedian Joe Parker.
The evening was the perfect occasion to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first edition of Compleat Golfer magazine, currently the longest-running sports title in South Africa, and now part of the Caxton Group.
A total of 27 golf clubs were awarded prestigious Compleat Golfer Five-Star Golf Experience Awards.
These clubs represent the finest golf experiences in the country.
This is the third year in a row that Ebotse Links has achieved Five-Star status for the overall golfing experience presented at the club.
Other Five-Star Golf Experience awards for 2013 went to the following clubs: Arabella, Blair Atholl, Bryanston, Copperleaf, Country Club Johannesburg, Dainfern, De Zalze, Erinvale, Fancourt, Glendower, Houghton, Leopard Creek, Oubaai, Pearl Valley, Pezula, Pinnacle Point, Princes Grant, Randpark, Serengeti, Simbithi, Simola, St Francis Links, Steenberg, Sun City, Zebula and Zimbali.
The award rates golf clubs and estates across eight categories, covering clubhouse facilities, the golf course, halfway house and practise facilities, quality of customer service, price and value relationship, services offered and the overall ambience.
