Taking off from Trompsburg
The Benoni Homing Society (BHS) basketed their birds for the 11th and 12th races of the season from Trompsburg, about 500km away.

The birds were supposed to be liberated on Saturday, July 12, but were held over until Sunday, July 13, due to weather constraints.
The young birds were liberated at 7.15am and the old birds at 8am.
The first young bird arrived home at 1.07;23pm, at a velocity of 1 411.321mpm, for TNT Lofts, beating the club by one minute and 15 seconds and securing a union win.
The first old bird arrived at 1.43;30pm, at a velocity of 1 436.931mpm, for John Field, who also secured a union win.
Results from the Trompsburg races are:
- Young birds: 1 TNT Lofts 1 411.321mpm, 2 John Field 1 406.294 mpm, 3 Frik and Colyn Nel 1 405.253mpm, 4 TNT Lofts 1 403.422mpm, 5 Andries Small 1 403.229mpm.
