Fun-filled family festivities at Actonville

The club’s senior and junior prize-giving followed the fun day on the field.

Chairman Abdul Raheman Data said that it had been a tough season filled with a lot of challenges for the club.

He added that one of the big changes in the club was the appointment of Seun Beya as head coach of the Premier XI.

The chairman thanked the coach for showing faith in young talent after talented young all-rounder Mekyle Pillay came through the ranks to play in the elite club competition.

He also thanked all the parents who support the club and the juniors.

Senior awards:

Premier League: Best batsman: Ahmed Mohammed (238 runs). Best bowler: Shakeel Ahmed Hussain (27 wickets).

Directors League: Best batsman: Akther Divan (239 runs), Saahil Khan (21 wickets).

Second League: Best batsman: Ahmed Delair (327 runs). Best bowler: Ahmed Delair (18 wickets).

Third League: Best batsman: Mohammed Bawgie (445 runs). Best bowler: Mohammed Kathrada (27 wickets).

Fourth League: Best batsman: Ali Bhai Lorgat (253 runs). Best bowler: Nazeer Patel (8 wickets).

Fifth League: Best batsman: Daniel van der Merwe (407 runs). Best bowler: Donnven Periasamy (13 wickets).

Provincial colours: Mekyle Pillay, Mohammed Ghanchi, Mohammed Rhees Khan, Saahil Khan, Joshua Corin and Muhammed Teladia.

Special Award (service to the club): Theo Naidoo and Yayah Seedat.

Junior Team Player of the Year: Ahmad Dabhelia and Nabeel Teladia.

Senior Team Player of the Year: Saahil Khan (Upcoming Player of the Year), Shakeel Ahmed Hussain and Michael Enslin (shared Player of the Year).

Chairman’s Award: Mekyle Pillay.
