Lions support visually impaired bowlers
The National Association for Blind Bowlers – Ekurhuleni Region (NABB:ER) held a fund-raising bowls day at the Atlas Bowling Club recently.
The event was well attended by bowlers from various local bowling clubs and others who were trying the sport for the first time.
The Benoni Lakes Lions assisted NABB:ER in raising R17 300.
The club provided and served early morning tea, mid-morning tea and sandwiches as well as burgers and boerewors rolls for lunch.
