LETTER: Reporter to runner
“It’s so awesome to have you on board Logie, on the other side of the camera.”
Derek ‘Irish’ Wright, past chairman of Benoni Northerns Athletic Club, writes:
For many years Logan Green has been our favourite Benoni City Times sports reporter who has always done Benoni Northerns proud with his enthusiastic articles about our club’s build-up and participation in the Comrades Marathon.
In this role he became part of our family and, although he would run the odd 5km or 10km race, this year he has made the massive jump to joining us on the ‘little jog’ from Pietermaritzburg to Durban.
For me, it has been an exhilarating journey to witness Logan and his good friend Darryn de Kock’s (son of my old Potch Boys schoolmate, Ronnie) improvement as together they have progressed to be on the brink of running this year’s Comrades.
We have so enjoyed Logan’s progress, accompanied by his entertaining blogs, and trust that alongside the other 57 novices from Benoni Northerns he will have a fantastic run on June 10.
