Eastern Gauteng Action Hockey sparkles at Benoni Action Arena

It was a good tournament for the hosts.

Benoni Action Arena recently held the annual Action Hockey Inter-provincial Tournament (IPT) from August 8 to 11.

The Eastern Gauteng Grizzlies (open mixed category) and Eastern Gauteng Tigers (open men’s category) both took gold at the IPT.

The Eastern Gauteng Pumas (u-23 women’s category) took bronze and the Eastern Gauteng Jaguars won the plate (women’s open category).

Eastern Gauteng also took away some prestigious awards from the tournament.

Dante Montalbano was the Goalkeeper of the Tournament in the men’s open category for the Eastern Gauteng Tigers.

Mikayla Rathbone was Goalkeeper of the Tournament in the women’s u-23 category for the Eastern Gauteng Panthers.

Cody Vorster was Player of the Tournament in the mixed open category for the Eastern Gauteng Grizzlies.
