Benoni Northerns Hockey Club held their annual senior hockey prize-giving ceremony for the recently concluded season on September 9 at the club’s main hall.

Award winners on the day were:

• Most Promising Junior Girl: Charne Valentine

• Most Promising Junior Boy: Darien Hugo

• Most Enthusiastic Woman: Delia Scott

• Most Enthusiastic Man: Ray Lindsay

• Most Improved Player Woman: Anna Hechtor

• Most Improved Player Man: Ross Pawlett

• Most Promising Player Woman: Kendra Riddle

• Most Promising Player Man: Darren Thysse

• U-21 Player of the Year Woman: Dione Brits

• U-21 Player of the Year Man: Cody Vorster

• Most Consistent Schoolgirl: Jeannete Diedricks

• Most Dedicated Player: Garett Julyan

• Most Valued Player: Chanelle Birch

• Captain of the Year: Heather Turnbull

• Umpire of the Year: Derrick Merrifield

• Clubwoman of the Year: Lindsey Jones

• Clubman of the Year: Derrick Merrifield

• School Girl Sportswoman: Jayde de Lange

• Sportswoman of the Year: Alexandra Harris

• Sportsman of the Year: Dale Griffiths

• Spirit Trophy: Ya Ya’s

• Team of the Year: Men’s third team.
