Actonville cruise to victory over Duduza
A good win for Actonville Spurs Cricket Club.
Actonville Spurs Cricket Club’s (ASCC) Eastern Premier League team bounced back from a disappointing defeat to CBC Old Boys the weekend before with a comfortable 99-run, bonus point win over Duduza.
The teams met at Willowmoore Park’s B-field on November 18.
Batting first, Actonville put together a score of 243/9 in their 50-over innings.
A 53-run innings (from 81 deliveries) from the experienced Ridwaan Daya was the top score for ASCC on the day.
With the ball, the Actonville bowlers had the Duduza batting order all out for 144 runs within 35 overs.
Zubair Turky was the star man with the ball for ASCC.
He bagged figures of 4/25 in 9.3 overs.
The team will be in for a tough test when they play Kempton Park in their next league fixture at Lords Cricket Grounds in Actonville on November 25.
The first delivery is scheduled to be bowled at 10am.
