The team took the league title with an impressive 60 points, only dropping six points during their time competing.

On November 3, the Benoni Northerns Football Club (BNFC) u-13 League One celebrated a win in the Easterns Local Football Association Title League, at Benoni Northerns Sports Grounds.

The team took the league title with an impressive 60 points, only dropping six points during their time competing.

Coach Joseph Lukele said this is the biggest achievement these young stars have had in the lives.

They now have an impressive record of 22 games played, 19 wins, three draws and no losses, with a total of 123 goals scored for the season.

The big winner of the day was Philile Myemane, who walked away with the Golden Boot Award for the top goalscorer and the Players’ Player of the Year trophies.

Many other members from the team also achieved, such as Jaymee Jones who walked away with Defender of the Season trophy, Ndumiso Skhosana with Team Player of the Year and Anesu Nkabinde with the Coach’s Choice Award trophy.

The BNFC also held their annual club awards at Rynfield Primary School on October 20, where Chris Mhlanga walked away with the Player of the Season trophy, Cebo Yekelo with most Consistent Player of the Season trophy and Thandolwethu Ncobo with Most Improved Player of the Season.
