Squash tournament begins this weekend
The first match started at noon and lasted until 4pm.
The Benoni Lake Club squash league tournament began on March 6 and will run for nine weeks.

“Even though these are dangerous and trying times, we managed to get 40 members to play in the tournament,” said Luke Zanmelle, squash committee member.
“All safety precautions will be strictly enforced to comply with the lockdown requirements.”
The first match started at noon and lasted until 4pm.
There are four sections, A being for the very strong and level-playing players, B for the up-and-coming stronger players, C for the intermediate, and then D for the beginners and social players.

“If you would like to get fit or even just sweat it out, burn some calories, you are most welcome to come over and speak to one of our committee members or enquire at the main office,” concluded Zanmelle.
