“The reserve team lost 1-0 to Randburg,” he said.
“We did not play well. We had our chances but did not take them. We lacked cohesion and composure on the day.
“We have several key players out due to injury, which also hampered us. On a positive note, they are a young side learning and gaining invaluable experience each game.
“We always knew this was a year of transition and getting back to some form of normality after Covid-19.”
To date, the reserves team has played seven games, won five and lost two.
“We remain second on the log, four points behind Robertsham and one ahead of Luso,” said Juanas-Uriol.
According to their coaches, the first team has struggled over the last two weeks.

“The boys showed some character, making a comeback from 3-0 down to 3-2.
“With numerous players out due to family bereavement, work, family commitments and injuries, the squad is very thin at the moment. We are using all players at our disposal and in many instances playing them out of position just to make up the numbers.
“It is what it is. We need to remain positive, continue working hard at training and hopefully the situation will improve once we have a full squad.”
To date, the first team has played seven, won four, drew one and lost two.
“We are now lying fifth on the log, but close to those above us,” he said.
