Team impresses at Jiu-Jitsu tournament

The trio took part in the Invite-Only Competition hosted by Submission Kings.

The East Rand Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (ERBJJ) team of Yusuf Hansrod, Chris Steenkamp and coach Brandon Newman, recently took part in the Invite-Only Competition hosted by Submission Kings.

Hansrod and Steenkamp, who competed in the Super Fights, put on an exceptional show as they both won their matches.

Newman took part in the winner-takes-all tournament where eight grapplers fought for the R10 000 prize money. He, however, was submitted by a tough and worthy opponent.

The ERBJJ said it was proud of the athletes and their performance.
