Ladies dazzle in pink at championship

“Well done to the winners and all our members who participated. We are proud of each and every one of you.”

Colleen Pike, Martie Becker and Toula Arnold were the biggest winners during the Ekurhuleni Senior Women’s Golf (ESWG) Championships at State Mines Golf Club in Brakpan on February 12.

Pike beat runner-up Lezette Vermaak to the silver division title, while Becker clinched the bronze division title, defeating Hazel Rushforth.

Arnold walked away with the copper division trophy with Lindsay Rees in second place.

Phindi Gwala was the senior overall nett winner.

ESWG chairperson Charmaine Stone with the winner of the silver division Colleen Pike.

“It was a wonderful turnout. It was so great to see all our ladies in pink on the fairways,” said ESWG chairperson Charmaine Stone.

“Well done to the winners and all our members who participated. We are proud of everyone.”
