Reamohetse Langa and Gontse Mathoba will fly to Mauritius to represent the country in a karate development tournament on the island country.
The NWS Karate Crystal Park dojo students were selected for the South Africa development team to take part in the competition following the Karate South Africa (KSA) national development camp in Qgebera on August 20 and 21.
Reamohetse grabbed a gold medal in kumite in the 7-9 years old division, while Gontse claimed a gold in kata and silver in kumite in his division.
The duo’s instructor, sensei Louis Ramakulukusha received a nomination for the KSA development coach.
“I believe that these guys will do very well in Mauritius and will do South Africa very proud. They have shown dedication and hard work in their training. As a result, their performances have been outstanding in all the championships they have attended throughout the year,” said Ramakulukusha.
