EGBA players to represent country at All Africa Championships

The tournament will take place from February 13 to 19.

Five Eastern Gauteng Badminton Association (EGBA) players will form the core of the squad to represent South Africa at the All Africa Mixed and Individual Championships in February.

The players are part of Badminton South Africa’s (BSA) 13-member team announced by the organisation on December 23 to do battle for the country when the tournament commences on February 13 at John Barrable Hall.

The EGBA players include Robert White, Jarred Elliot, Ruan Snyman, Amy Ackerman and Deidrè Jordaan.

The entire national team comprises a mixture of specialists in singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions.

The squad includes Caden Kakora (FS), Cameron Coetzer (BOR) the captain, Jarred Elliot (EGBA), Robert Summers (FS), Robert White (EGBA), Ruan Snyman (EGBA), Amy Ackerman (EGBA), Deidrè Laurens Jordaan (EGBA), Diane Olivier (NC), Johanita Scholtz (FS) and Michaelee Ohlson (WP) the emerging POC.

Travelling reserves include Anri Schonees (CW) and Demi Botha (KZN).

The tournament will take place from February 13 to 19.
