Pantsula Kasi Dance Battle to rock Daveyton
Movers and shakers of the pantsula dance will demonstrate dance moves never seen before, in a dance battle in Daveyton, on September 6.
Pantsula and Bujwa groups will take on each other in a Kasi Dance Battle, presented by 100% Entertainment at the Rhoo Hlatshwayo Arts Centre, from 10am till late.
Organisers Nkosingphile Maphumulo and Sphelele Maduna are calling on members of the community to come out in numbers to support the local youngsters.
Groups expected to take part include King Khotha, Daveyton Movers, Black Diamond, Motion 1520 and Destructors.
The organisers are looking to grow the event in terms of prizes and are appealing to those who have an interest in youth development to pledge support of any kind, to ensure the success of the event and that dancers are continually rewarded for their efforts.
“We initiated this event because we want to keep youngsters busy and away from crime and illegal substances, so we would really appreciate support of any kind to keep us going,” they said.
