Weighing in for a good cause
The scales are out, the kilos have been shed and now it’s time for two well-known artists to reveal the results in the Battle of the Artists Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge.
Since June 29, the popular DJ Lady Lea and renowned East Rand-based tattoo artist Candi McLaren Lewis (from EyeCandi Tattoos) have been going head-to-head in a weight loss challenge like no other.
The ultimate goal was to lose 17kgs in four months and, during this time, thousands of spectators have been tracking their progress.
On Saturday, October 25, the two will reveal the results at the Big Reveal cocktail party, at Trotters Pub and Grill (22 Dakota Road, Impala Park, Boksburg).
The party will kick off at 6pm, with the weight loss results being announced at 8pm.
DJ Mark Stent and several other guest DJs will be on the decks, making sure the party doesn’t stop any time soon.
Money raised on the night will go to charities selected by the contenders (Wetnose Animal Rescue Centre for Lady Lea and Irwin Animal Rescue Centre NPC for Candi).
