SA Bridal Fashion Week comes to Carnival City
Buoyed by the resounding success of the first-ever SA Bridal Fashion Week at Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom in Durban and GrandWest in Cape Town, Carnival City is now gearing up for the Gauteng event taking place from November 27 to 30.
Modelled on and inspired by the International Bridal Fashion Weeks, SA Bridal Fashion Week, in the Big Top Arena, will include a choreographed combination of themed designer catwalk shows, featuring exclusive new collections by local and international designers, emerging and student designers, as well as boutiques.
The event brings together the best ideas to inspire brides with a luxurious display of offerings from the local wedding industry.
Related staged showcases include lingerie, hair, make-up, jewellery, shoes, accessories (including handbags, veils and hair accessories), cakes, table centrepieces, décor (includes table decor), flowers, bouquets and antique show that includes the work of photographers and videographers.
Fashion Week director Yarisha Rajcomar-Panday, actress and entrepreneur and the visionary behind the event, said an overwhelming response was received for the first SA Bridal Fashion Week in Durban and Cape Town.
“The event is more than just a fashion show; it is a theatrical showcase of bridal-related fashion, design and style elements,” she said.
Jaco Saaiman, Entertainment manager at Carnival City, said they are proud to host South Africa’s biggest and only national bridal fashion week.
“While it is a fantastic opportunity for couples planning their wedding to see the designs of some of the world’s foremost bridal designers, it is also a platform for showcasing the work of local designers,” he said.
“Gauteng has many talented designers and we look forward to finding out who will be representing our region at the SA Bridal Fashion Week in November.”
