Mr and Miss Valentine set to bring back arts
A Mr and Miss Valentine pageant will be held in Daveyton, on Saturday, February 14.
The pageant is organised by Malinga Gold, an arts and marketing company that aims to market local artists who are interested in the media industry.
“We, as Malinga Gold, want to bring back artistic creativity to the Daveyton community,” said Lehlohonolo Malinga.
“We also want to encourage young people to take interest in art, instead of drugs.”
The pageant has two categories: junior (12 to 16) and senior (17 to 25).
The junior section of the pageant will take place from noon to 4pm, and the seniors will be judged from 5pm to 8pm.
The event will take place at the Daveyton Mall, in the Victor Ndlazilwane Community Centre.
The winners will receive a cash prize and will be signed to an arts agent.
