Young entrepreneur Lindokuhle Mabena wants to uplift and recreate a new image of the young people in Etwatwa.
The Etwatwa youngster will host an event called “The Plug Affair” on October 27 at Mabuya Street, Etwatwa West (near the Etwatwa Police Station) from noon.
The aim of the event is to implement social responsibility within youth and for young people to showcase their talents.
Mabena said young people in Etwatwa have been portrayed in a bad light and with this event he is hoping to show a different side of the youth and the area as a whole.

“Attendees must be creative with their outfits as there will be a prize for the best outfit,” said Mabena.
“With the prize money we aim to make a difference in at least one young person’s life so they can maybe buy a school uniform or register at university or college next year.”
Mabena said in June they launched the campaign “That Lit-Up Etwatwa” which aims to create awareness among the young about things that affect them and to come up with ways of improving their livelihood and preventing criminal activities.
Entry to the event is free.
