WIN: Dingalings pay tribute to women in new show
Win tickets to Dingalings family drama, For Better or Worse, an ode to women at Catalina Theatre this Women's Day.
THE Dingalings production Company is delighted to present an ode to women this August with their drama, For Better or Worse running at the Catalina Theatre until 14 August.
The hour-and-a-half play was written and directed by Koobeshen Naidoo and takes a poignant look at the lives of three woman who are thrust together for a weekend while their husbands are away on a fishing trip.
Naidoo deals with all the sensitive issues that plague these three generations of Indian woman.
“They are married to three brothers and what transpires over the weekend threatens their relationship with each other as well as their marriages,” he said.
Naidoo presents this charming story that looks at a woman’s roles in the family and in the work place and challenges the many stereotypes about Indian woman.
The play is staged as a tribute to women and mothers in the month of August as women in South Africa are celebrated throughout the month.
This production shows off the talent of Dingalings stalwart Kumseela Naidoo, 80s Reunion Dingalings show the talented Verushka Odayen and newcomer to the Dingalings family, Madhu Maharaj.
The play shows at the Catalina Theatre, Wilsons Wharf from 4 to 14 August daily at 8pm and Sunday at 6pm.
Tickets cost R100 and are available from Computicket and all Shoprite /Checkers stores or by calling 031 837 5999 to book.
The Dingalings are also running their hilarious Wed-dingalings show at Suncoast from 8 to 10 August.
Tickets cost R120 and can be purchased from the CineCentre Box Office. Both shows are for the whole family.
