Take a walk along the Golden Mile

Take part in the third annual Sandy Beach Walk this weekend.

GET your tekkies on and take part in the 14km Sandy Beach Walk along Durban’s beautiful beaches, on Sunday 10 August from Umhlanga Life Saving Club to Suncoast at 9am.

Durban’s family beach walk or run takes place on beach sand from start to finish. Previously participants crossed the Umgeni River on rafts but this year the organisers have laid down a floating bridge across the river. That’s not the only new attraction added to the race, a live music concert will take place at the finish line for all to enjoy.

Registration will take place at the Umhlanga Lifesaving Club from 6.30am to 8.30am on 10 August or you can register online at www.thesandy.co.za

Entries cost R130 a person or R260 per team.
