Enter the municipal verge competition

If you have a verge that is worthy of being showcased, enter the Municipal verge competition.

DO you have a well maintained verge or know of a neighbour who has one that you feel is worth showcasing? If so, the Municipality welcomes you to enter it into the Municipal Verge Competition 2013.

The competition is aimed at acknowledging residents for their efforts in maintaining and improving the visual look of their verges, streetscapes and suburbs. This also contributes to greening our City so that eThekwini is recognised as a “Clean and Green” City in South Africa

How to take part in the competition?

Submit a recent photograph accompanied by a short motivation why this verge has improved the street. Email to:- Charles.Ambrose@durban.gov.za or hand deliver to Parks, Leisure & Cemeteries Department office at 70 St Thomas Road, Durban. (Botanic Gardens) or MMS to 083 288 8790.

State the address of the proposed verge, if possible the name and contact details of the resident and indicate the category – residential house, town house, complex, industrial area

Closing date for submission of entries is the 27 September and the award will be announced on Tuesday, 22 October.
