Exciting opportunity for young African leaders

Youngsters will get to interact with President Obama and meet with US government though leadership programmes.

APPLY now for the Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders.

This is a new flagship programme of the President’s Young African Leaders Initiative which will bring more than 500 young leaders to the United States each year for leadership training, academic coursework, and mentoring, and will create unique opportunities in Africa to put those new skills to practical use in propelling economic growth and prosperity and strengthening democratic institutions.

Leaders will attend a six-week programme at US universities focusing on the skills young African leaders need to run better ministries, start and grow businesses, and serve their communities. Participants will also get to interact with President Obama and meet with US government, civic and business leaders.

The online application deadline is midnight on 27 January. Visit: https://youngafricanleaders.state.gov/washington-fellows/
