Man killed in Springfield shooting

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared deceased at the scene.

On Thursday morning (June 25) paramedics responded to a shooting incident on Lotus Road near Foxglove Road in the Springtown area of Durban.

ALS Paramedics shared that upon their arrival they found a male, suspected to be in his 50s, who sustained multiple gunshot injuries on his body.

ALS Paramedics Garrith Jamieson said, “Paramedics arrived on the scene to find SAPS already in attendance with the area cordoned off. Paramedics were shown to a male believed to be in his 50s who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was assessed, but showed no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene.”

The events leading up to the shooting are unknown.
