Cricket fest a success
Young cricketers were recognised for their skill at the festival at Glenwood.
GLENWOOD High School hosted 12 primary schools at its annual U13 Cricket Festival at the weekend.
The emphasis was on promoting cricket and not on winning. Prizes were awarded to Matthew Bruin from Penzance who was the most promising bowler, Kaide McGregor-Langley from Glenwood Prep who was the most promising batsman and the most promising player of the tournament was Andrew Watt from Manor Gardens Primary.
The participating primary schools were South Coast Combined Team, Drakensberg Primary, Scottsburgh Primary, Amanzimtoti Primary, Benjamin Pine, Pelham Primary, Athlone Park Primary, Northlands Primary, Glenwood Prep, Penzance Primary, Manor Gardens Primary and Northdene Prep.
Glenwood Prep, Penzance and Manor Gardens also made their fields available for this festival.
