Forum hands out Easter cheer

Bulwer Community Safety Forum 'paid it forward' by handing out Easter eggs at King Edward Hospital.

THE Bulwer Community Safety Forum visited children in the paediatric wards at King Edward Hospital on Saturday to bring a little Easter cheer to their lives.

The forum collected donated Easter eggs and gave one to each child, along with a teddy bear, knitted by the woman from Knit and Natter at Musgrave Library.

A group of members met in Glenwood and were lead in convoy by Mzanzi Security to the hospital, where they handed out teddies and Easter eggs to the patients and their moms, as well as the nurses who care for them.

“What a wonderful morning spent at King Edward Hospital with all the sick children – they are such an inspiration – the smiles and joy on their faces when they saw us was priceless – even through their pain they welcomed us. Well done to everyone that donated in any way, to make this possible – well done BCSF members – We hope and pray that God blesses and heals all the sick little ones we saw at King Edward Hospital,” said chairperson, Heather Rorick.
