Forum seeks support
The community is urged to get more involved in fighting crime in Glenwood.
BULWER Community Safety Forum (BCSF) is appealing to people to get more involved with fighting crime in the area.
“For us to become a safer community we have to join forces and take back our community from the criminals. Criminals have all the time in the world to steal from your home, your family and you, so it should not be an effort or mission for you to give up some time now and again to attend meetings, join our patrols, and take an interest in what’s happening around you,” said Heather Rorick from BCSF.
She said crime was not going to go away by itself, but it could, however be lowered if people all became involved somehow in the fight against crime.
“The BCSF tries its best to do what we can in our community to fight crime, but we need help in doing so. We are not funded in any way and rely on kind donations from the community, and mostly fund ourselves, which is becoming quite a heavy burden to each of us,” she said.
“Unfortunately we do not have any other choice but to appeal to our community and the businesses within our community to support us in any way possible,” she said.
