BEREA police appeal to the community be aware and inform them of the whereabouts of a man who is wanted for fraud.
According to Lieutenant PN Naidoo, communications officer at Berea SAPS, the suspect is a white German national, known as Karl Marchenbeck who is between 35 and 50 years old and speaks both English and German. “The man is of medium height with a slender build, blue eyes and a light complexion. He has short blonde and grey hair with a blonde and grey moustache and beard. He has many tattoos on his arms and was wearing jeans and a t-shirt,” explained Naidoo.
Naidoo said the man allegedly stole approximately R20 000 cash under false pretences. “His modus operandi is to fix customer’s vehicles whereupon he allegedly steals the vehicles in question and sells the vehicles to unsuspecting customers and pockets the cash. His current whereabouts is unknown and police are investigating a case of fraud.”
