UMBILO Police Station arrested a 28-year-old woman for possession of dagga on 8 September.
Officers were patrolling along Brisbane Road, Umbilo when they received information about drugs in the area. They proceeded to the place where they spotted a suspicious-looking woman. She was searched and 1,95kg of dagga to the street value of more than R10 000 was recovered.
The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni applauded the members for the arrest and recovery of the drugs.
“Police will continue with the operations to clean up drug dealers in our community,” she said.
