Top 10 revealed in Davenport Square competition

The winner of the title of Mayor of Davenport will be announced on Saturday 15 November.

THE top 10 shop assistants have been chosen in the Mayor of Davenport campaign.

This customer service initiative which encourages shop assistants in Davenport Square to give their best service at all times, has run from 26 September, and on Saturday 15 November, the winner of the title of Mayor of Davenport Square, as well as a cruise for two aboard the luxurious MSC cruise liner, will be revealed.

The top 10 are Carol from Dirks Meat, Julie from Dirks Meat, Saloshini from Silver People, Tamara from Polished to Perfection, John from Dirks Meat, Lorraine from Dirks Meat, Nilash from Checkers, Nilesh from Montagu, Zerich from Unicopy and Kim from Unicopy.

Davenport Square is home to some long-standing tenants who offer amazing customer service. To highlight this, but at the same time ensure other stores are offering the same service levels, Davenport Square has run this spend and win competition where shoppers spend and nominate a store assistant for excellent customer service using a nomination ballot found in stores.

Centre management said Davenport square is known as the community convenience centre of Glenwood and in order to make sure a friendly and homely vibe is provided within the centre, customer relations should always be positive.

By offering an incentive to shop assistants through the campaign Mayor of Davenport management is ensuring shop assistants will put extra effort into service delivery.

The centre was not just looking to reward one shop assistant, but also one lucky shopper.

Shoppers spending R50 or more stood a chance of winning a cruise for two aboard the luxurious MSC cruise liner as well.
