Buzzart opens with arty flair

Get locally produced Christmas gifts and more at this year's Buzzart fair at KZNSA.

IF you are looking for a place to buy affordable gifts, Christmas décor, paintings, photography, jewellery, books, music, fashion, ceramics and more, Buzzart 2014 opens on Friday 21 November at 5.30pm.

The KZNSA shop has spent 2014 focusing on stocking great quality, locally-made product and the annual Christmas fair in the gallery promises to be a bumper selection of the very best of KZN, South African and African made product. Prices range from loads of affordable stocking fillers to those collectible one-off finds for that someone special.

Local makers include Thami Jali, Louise Jennings, Grace Kotze, Congo Rose, Savage Jewellery, Xavier Clarisse, The Zulu Beadwork Project, Lapis Lazuli, ALoveSupreme, Africa Organics body care, the Dcp Kznsa photographers and many more.

This year there is an art book and catalogue sale, along with local music.

Go along and discover the work of emerging makers from DUT and the aweh! collective alongside established designers like Amanda Laird Cherry and Terrence Bray. Look out for the hot young clothing label Jane Sews and clothing and bag newcomer ELPPAG.

BUZZART runs 21 November to 11 January 2015, and trading hours are Tuesday to Friday from 9am-5pm, Saturday 9am to 4pm and Sunday 10am to 3pm.

Special trading days are Monday 15 December, Tuesday 16 December, and Monday 22 December.
