TWO people were injured in a shooting on Sydney Road, Durban on Friday.
According to one patient, the two construction workers were on their lunch break when armed men attacked them.
One of the patients allegedly tried to unarm one of the men when a gunshot went off.
One of the construction workers sustained moderate injuries when a bullet struck him in his arm. The other construction worker sustained critical head injuries after allegedly being struck by the same bullet.
ER24 transported both patients to a nearby hospital for further treatment and authorities were on scene investigating.
